About me

I was keen on journeys and adventure since I was a boy, by reading Walter Bonatti’s reportages from the most primitive countries of the world.

I’ve bought my first reflex camera in 1977 and began to study photographic techniques most referring to National Geographic reporters.

During my life, working as civil engineer in several countries of the world, I conceived a passion for the “tale by images”, telling about landscapes, people  and uses so much different from the ones we see daily in our western cities.

Keen on sea and sailing as well, I dedicated great part of my free time, for more than ten years, to underwater photography, diving in several coral barriers and probing the shooting in artificial light.

Since 2007 I’m retired and dedicate myself to journeys and photography all over the world, especially in Africa and Asia; I travel overseas to find cultural unlikenesses, to emphasize their contents and to spread their great value in the intercultural integrational course in progress.

Love for nature and especially for animals, carried me to discover the possibility of communication between man and wild animals, based on reciprocal curiosity and respect.

By such approach, it was possible the shooting of close up images representing gorillas, lions, cheetahs, leopards, monkeys and big herbivores in their daily life, not disturbed by human presence and by the “click” of shutter.
